They\u2019re extremely quiet, they\u2019re extremely clean and they have a lot more tone than the typical active pickup. They sound more real. The harmonics are richer. It\u2019s a bigger sound across a wider range of frequencies.\u201d The EMTY bridge model has the energy and output of the original Blackouts but with Mick\u2019s custom voicing, which emphasizes the percussive chunk of palm-muted notes.
